Rainbow Colony (2016 film), is a 2016 Indian Tamil film directed by Radhakrishna Bhaskar and produced by S. Later, Gautami Pictures and actress Anjala Zaveri entered into a joint venture and came up with the idea of making the web series into a full-fledged feature film. It was the sequel to Prithviraj's . Featuring Ravi Krishna in the lead role, the film is based on a true story of a lawyer whose family were murdered by a gang of dacoits. The film was announced in July 2013. The title was changed from A.R. Rahman and Prithviraj's Aagam Per Alagam to Rainbow Colony due to creative reasons. In June 2014, it was announced that the lead actress Ravi Krishna would opt out of the film. In July 2014, an official press release was released revealing that newcomer actress Sonia Agarwal was cast as the lead actress. The film began production in November 2014. In January 2015, the title was changed to 7G Rainbow Colony. During production, there were frequent changes in cast and crew. The original actors were not allowed to re-enter the film once they had quit. Marketing The first look poster was released in December 2014. In March 2015, the first look of Ravi Krishna was released in the posters. The official trailer of the film was released on 11 April 2015 and was well received. The tagline of the film was designed by Prithviraj himself. The actor who completed shooting the film also shares the credit of designing the poster. The posters were released in April 2015. The film was launched in April 2016 and the official trailer was released in April 2016. Release The film was released on 12 February 2017.
